Presentations: Save the Dates
With the end of the season on the horizon, it’s time to think about Junior and Senior end of season presentations. Pencil in the below dates in your calendar.
- Saturday 5/9: Game Leader & Referee Presentation (Kaleen Playing Fields)
- Saturday 12/9: U5-U11 Junior Presentation (Kaleen Playing Fields)
- Sunday 13/9: U12-U18 Junior Presentation (Eastlake Gungahlin)
- Friday 18/9: Senior Presentation (Eastlake Gungahlin)
The schedules for both junior presentations will be available soon along with catering arrangements. Once finalised, U5-U18 team representatives will be directed to team catering forms to fill out.
Club Award Nominations & Chance To Win
With the Junior and Senior Presentations in September, we are calling for Club Award nominations. Whether you are in awe of a player, grateful to a coach, appreciate a manager or admire a volunteer, there is a Club Award worth nominating them for.
To sweeten the deal, every Club Award nomination will go into the draw to win a free winter community registration in 2027 (conditions apply, see website for details).
Junior Club Award Nominations close midnight 29th of August. Senior Club Award Nominations close 4th of September.

Summer Comp EOI
Whilst Summer Comp planning is under way behind the scenes, we are opening up an Expression of Interest Form the Summer Comp.
Keep 2 Metres Back From Sidelines
At all games U6 to U18 and Seniors, we ask that spectators stay 2 metres back from sidelines.
Recently, spectators have been setting up rugs beside games, right up against the sideline. This interferes with players during throw/kick ins. It also impedes assistant referee (lines people) from doing their job.
You can brush up on Spectator and Technical Areas here.
Referees Needed for Henk’s Senior Summer Comp
Belnorth FC is running their popular Henk’s Summer Comp starting this October, and we are looking to secure the vital third team, referees, for the Senior Comp.
The Senior Comp is held on Mondays and Tuesdays at Kaleen beginning mid-October, running for 8 weeks.
The role requires a Senior Football Match Official (Level 4) qualification.
It would be great to have you on board. If you are available and interested, please email summer@belnorth.org
Note: Information about the Summer Comp format for teams along with team entry information will be released in September.
Strong is the New Pretty: A play at the Canberra Theatre

Strong is the New Pretty is a movement brought to life on stage. It’s the story of how Australia’s women refused to wait their turn, rewriting the rules of the nation’s favourite sport and sparking a revolution that transformed the AFL landscape forever.
