Belnorth’s Annual General Meeting has been set for 6:30 pm, Sunday 10/12/2023 at The Clubhouse Kaleen, 16 Georgina Cres, Kaleen ACT 2617.

At the AGM the club’s financial year statements and audit are presented along with various committee reports. We also call for nominations for available committee positions.

The following committee positions have their terms ending and are up for election:

  • Vice President (2-year term)
  • Treasurer (2-year term)
  • Rooball Registrar (2-year term)
  • Competitive Registrar (2-year term)
  • Grounds & Fixtures Manager (2-year term)

Duty Statements

President

  • Capital Football Liaison (disciplinary)
  • Representative on External Meetings (i.e Capital Football)
  • Public Grant Administration
  • External Media Liaison

Vice President

  • Responsible for assisting the President.

Treasurer

  • Responsible for maintaining the financial accounts, the receipt of money and payment of accounts (including reimbursement of referees’ fees), the preparation of regular financial statements, and the annual budget.
  • Responsible for submitting Belnorth accounts to the auditor and forwarding the information to the committee prior to AGM.
  • A financial background with knowledge of bookkeeping is desirable. Belnorth’s bookkeeping is managed with Quickbooks.

Secretary

  • Custody of books (Belnorth Constitution Sec 44) – Policy (Holder of all policy documents)
  • Claims (Coordinator of submitted claims)
  • Internal publicity (Web/email/newsletter)
  • Public Officer
  • Maintains written records, takes minutes of meetings, and receives and replies to correspondence.
  • Take the minutes of meetings and record any action items given to enable committee members to keep track of progress against key tasks.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files for the relevant documentation.
  • Lodgement of relevant documentation to Access Canberra within the specified timeframes. Such as the reporting obligations for incorporated associations (I.e. Annual Returns, Changes of Committee, Change of Public Officer, Change of Registered Office and Changes of Objects or Rules.

Seniors Registrar

  • Age Group: administration for men’s and women’s teams.
  • PlayFootball: administration of payments and registrations
  • Dribl: match card administration
  • Equipment: Liaison with Operations officer
  • Trophy: Liaison with Operations officer

Competitive Registrar (U12 to U18s)

  • Age Group: administration for U12 to U18 teams.
  • PlayFootball: administration of payments and registrations
  • Dribl: match card administration

Small-Sided Games Registrar (U10-U11)

  • Age Group: administration for U10 to U11 teams.

Google Workspace

Belnorth FC utilises Google Workspace for it’s emails, calendar, documents and spreadsheets among other apps. An overview of the Google Workspace apps are available below.

Zoom

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of virtual meetings were handled with Zoom.

If you haven’t had experience with Zoom before, a guide for beginners is below.

PlayFootball

The majority of the Committee will need to be familiar with the backend of PlayFootball. Unfortunately, the user experience for players and parents is as equally frustrating on the backend.
