Preseason Skills Program 2026
U8/U9 & U10/U11 Programs
Belnorth, under the tutelage of Nick Walczak, will run two Preseason Skills Programs (PSP) one for the U10/U11 age groups in February (6 sessions) and one the U8/U9 age groups in April (4 sessions). The program will focus on the four core skills: Striking The Ball, First Touch, 1v1 and Running With The Ball.
U8/U9 Preseason Skills Program
The U8/U9 Preseason Program will be held from 11/04/2026 until 20/04/2026 at Kaleen. The cost of this program is $55.
Session dates for the U8/U9 Program are as follows:
- Saturday 11/04 9:00 to 10:00 am at Kaleen
- Monday 13/04 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Kaleen
- Saturday 18/04 9:00 to 10:00 am at Kaleen
- Monday 20/04 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Kaleen
Submit an EOI below for both the U8/U9 and U10/U11 Preseason Skills Programs.
Submission of an EOI does not guarantee an offer in the program. We will do our best to accommodate all submissions, but if there are more EOI than spots available in the program, preference will be given to those that intend to play at Belnorth in 2026 and also played at Belnorth in 2025.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to program start time. On arrival players can go to the Skills Area whilst parents check in.
Parents after checking in are asked to keep to the designated Spectator Area.
Players arriving after commencement time will not be admitted into the training area.

What to bring:
- Hat

- Shin pads
- Soccer boots
- Sunscreen
- Willingness to learn.
The Belnorth Skill Acquisition Program focuses on the development of the four core skills:
- 1v1
- First Touch
- Striking the ball
- Running with the ball
Session 1
- Core skill: First Touch
- Session Objective: To improve players ability to Face forwards to play forwards.
Session 2
- Core Skill: 1v1
- Session Objective: To improve players ability to beat a player to score a goal
Session 3
- Core Skill: Running the ball
- Session Objective: To improve players ability to engage a player to facilitate a pass
Session 4
- Core Skill: Striking the ball
- Session Objective: To improve the player’s ability to one-touch finish
