King’s Birthday Long Weekend: Games on for U16, U18 and Seniors
U5 to U15 teams get a weekend off this King’s Birthday long weekend, the 6th of June. U16, U18 and Senior teams will still be taking to the field.
Volunteers needed for Team Photos
Belnorth requires volunteers to assist with team photos on the 17/6 and 18/6 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Eastlake Gungahlin to coordinate teams to ensure sessions run smoothly.
If you can lend a hand as a volunteer, even for part of this time, can you please let us know via admin@belnorth.org.

U14 Open Players Needed for Kanga Cup
U14 Open players needed for Kanga Cup, please email Jane for more information, on competitive@belnorth.org.
When: 13th of July to the 17th of July
Where: various locations across Canberra
What: Tournament against interstate, local and sometimes international teams. There will be a minimum of 5 matches played with no more than 2 games per day.
Cost: ~$120-140 per player
Play in Purple for Pancreatic Cancer
Belnorth are participating in Pankind’s 2026 Play in Purple to raise funds for vital research into pancreatic cancer.
When: 1st and 2nd August
What: Buy and Wear Purple Socks during Games/Training
Cost: $15/pair plus shipping. We encourage teams to make a bulk order for those players who wish to participate, to save on postage. Orders close 10th of July.
Donate: You can also donate any amount you like for the cause.
Let’s turn our football fields purple this August and get behind this important cause!

Team Photos 17/6 & 18/6
Junior Team Photos will be conducted at Eastlake Gungahlin by Michael Thompson Photography (MTP), over two weeknights, Wednesday the 17th of June and Thursday the 18th of June.
Team session times should be available within the next week and will be advertised on social media and the next newsletter.
Where: Eastlake Gungahlin, 51 Hinder St, Gungahlin ACT 2912 When: Wednesday the 17th of June and Thursday the 18th of June (specific team days/times TBA)
Eastlake Gungahlin is a good place to tuck into a meal before or after the photo sessions. You can book a table at Eastlake Gungahlin via phone 6147 5511 when team session dates/times are released.
Weeknight specials are available to Members only. Membership costs $5 for a year, and you receive a 10% discount off food and drinks. If you’d like to join or renew your membership, please arrive early, as there may be a bit of a queue at reception!
Wednesday is Pizza night: buy any 2 pizzas and get a free jug of soft drink and garlic bread.
Thursday is Steak night: $23 for a 250g rump steak served with 2 sides and your choice of sauce.
Parking: Underground parking is off Efkarpidis Street or there is more parking over the road. Guests will receive a parking ticket when they use the underground parking. Guests will need to hold on to the ticket to remember their arrival time. All guest parking is free whilst using the venue. When leaving the venue, reception will issue a new ticket to scan on exiting the car park if they have been in the venue more than 2 hours. Gates will be open from 7pm, and tickets are not required after this time.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bring your cleaned boots and put them on just before the photo. Don’t come into the club wearing your boots. This often brings unwanted grass into the club and is not appreciated.
Function Attendee Information:
- All attendees must present to reception on arrival.
- Eastlake Members can present/show their members card to Reception, and head into the function space.
- Non-Member attendees (18 years or older) must present their Photo ID to Reception and be signed in to the venue, before heading into the function space.
- When signed in to the venue as an attendee of a function only, please be aware you are excluded from using any of the venue’s gambling facilities (poker machines, KENO & TAB). Function guests are welcome to purchase food and drink from the Bistro and Main Bar.
- The Eastlake Group does not allow any external food or beverage in any of its venues.
Arrive early to allow the sign-in process.
Kaleen Parking Guide Map
ACT Sportsgrounds will be a focus of parking operations during May and June across all grounds, but in particular: Kaleen, Harrison, O’Connor, and Dickson.
Patrols will occur on one weeknight a fortnight and most Saturdays and Sundays.

A reminder that all coaches, managers, and volunteers are required to have a Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card. This includes both Junior and Senior team volunteers.
