The wait is over!
Five Women’s and ten Men’s teams will begin their seasons this weekend.
Good luck to the Belles, Bobcats, Birdies, Ballers, Banshees, Bisons, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Strikers, Bangers, Raptors, Liquid Football, O45 men, O55 men and the “Yet To Be Named” Division 9 men!
Be Aware of Concussion
Concussion affects players at all age groups and levels. It is important to be aware of the risks and signs of concussion, and what to do if it happens.
Information about concussion can be found here, which includes videos for players, parents and coaches.
If in doubt, sit them out.
Konqa’s ‘Take Pics Win Kt’
Konqa, our kit partner, have announced an exciting new competition, Take Pics Win Kit! Each month, they will be giving away Konqa kit goodies.
Entering is easy:
- Take some photos of your Konqa kit in action: Players on the pitch or selfies from supporters, they want to see whatever their kit gets up to!
- Follow and Tag Konqa: Follow Konqa on Instagram and Facebook and Tag Konqa in your photos.
- Win kit for your club! At the end of each month, Konqa will choose their favourite photo and send the winner and their club some Konqa kit goodies.
Registrations Are Now Closed
Belnorth FC Winter Registrations are now closed.
Registrations on PlayFootball are left pending until registrations for an age group close and teams are finalised.
U10 to U18 and senior teams should now be completed.
U5 to U9 registrations are now closed and will remain pending until teams are finalised. Process should be concluded by mid April.
A quick note for U5-U9 continuing players. Belnorth always keeps teams together in these age groups, so you don’t need to let us know your child wants to stay in the same team. Only contact us, if you want to try a different team in 2025.

Kanga Cup Registration Open
The 2025 Kanga Cup will be held during the second week of the July school holidays, 14th to the 18th of July.
Registration for the tournament are open from Tuesday 1st of April. Registration costs are below.
- U9: $1,280 inc. GST per team
- U10 – U13: $1,490 inc. GST per team
- U14 – U16: $1,700 GST per team
Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) Training Workshop
The Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) Training Workshop registrations are now open for ACT sporting clubs.
Date: Tuesday 8 April 2025
Time: 6:00 pm – 8.30 pm
Venue: National Hockey Centre, Lyneham
Cost: $65.00 pp
What is an MPIO?
A MPIO plays an important role in sport. They provide information and guidance on complaints procedures – they are the ‘go to’ person if you want to discuss problems at your sporting club/association, particularly if you are considering making a formal complaint.
Masters Games October in Canberra!
The 20th Australian Masters Games (AMG) is in Canberra from the 18th to the 25th of October 2025. Registrations are now open for Men’s or Women’s Football, and Men’s, Women’s or Mixed Walking Football.

Referee Courses
Game Leader
Who – For participants aged 12 and up, will be able to officiate MiniRoos matches on completion of course.
Course requirements – complete online Laws of the Game modules (self-paced), and ONE in-person practical session. Course cost includes Game Leader shirt, bag and whistle.
Practical Session Dates – held at Hawker Football Centre:
- 5 April (9 am to 11 am)
- 5 April (12 pm to 2 pm)
- 27 April (9 am to 11 am)
- 27 April (12 pm to 2 pm)
- 24 May (9 am to 11 am)
Course Cost – $60 (includes Game Leader pack: whistle, GL shirt and bag)
Registration Cost – No fee to register as a Game Leader
Junior Football Match Official (Level 4)
Who – For participants aged 13 and up, will be able to officiate MiniRoos and Junior League matches on completion of course.
Course requirements – complete online Laws of the Game modules (self-paced), and ONE in-person practical session.
Practical Session Dates – held at Radford College:
- 12 April – Female Only (9:30 am-12:30 pm)
- 26 April (9:30 am-12:30 pm)
- 4 May (9:30 am-12:30 pm)

Course Cost – $33 (includes in-person and online modules)

Known Issues with Registration:
- Capital Football Referee registrations, and Learner ACT registrations for anyone under the age of 16 are still unable to be approved. However, rest assured that no participant will miss out on a place in a course. Contact Lucy Griffin if this affects you for further information, lucy.griffin@capitalfootball.com.au.
- Duplicate accounts (PlayFootball is generating new FFA numbers (usually starting with 90). Send details to PlayFootball Support to merge accounts.

School Holiday Camps – April
Australian Sports Camp
Australian Sports Camp are running two 3-day football sports camps during the April school holidays at ANU. One before Easter (15-17 April) and one between Easter and Anzac Day (22-24 April).
Cost: $335
The camps are available for 5-15 year old players of all standards.
Coerver Coaching ACT Holiday Camps
Coerver Coaching Holiday Camps offer a fun filled soccer experience for boys and girls aged 3 – 16+ years. Each day will include Ball Mastery, 1v1 attack and defence, receiving and passing, small sided Coerver games and mini Coerver Cup tournaments.
Dates: Monday 14 April – Thursday 17 April
Times: 9:00am – 12:00pm each day
Venue: Northside – University of Canberra, Bruce. Southside – Trinity Christian School, Wanniassa.
Ages: 3-16+
