Club Shop Open Saturday 6th May

The Club Shop will be open this Saturday, 6th of May, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at Kaleen Playing Fields.

The Club Shop has been very popular! They are so popular that, unfortunately, we have sold out or have minimal stock of the below items. A top order has been made for socks and unisex shorts with the hope of a late May arrival.

Kanga Cup Registrations Close 8th of May

The Kanga Cup is the largest International Youth Football Tournament south of the equator, held right here in Canberra from July 2nd to the 7th! It is for U9 to U18 players and teams from all over the world.

Belnorth Football Club has a long association with the Kanga Cup, being the only club to have entered teams into the competition at every edition and is one of, if not the most successful. We’d encourage teams to be a part of that proud tradition.

Registrations close on 8/5/2023, so be quick!

Capital Futsal Skills Program

Capital Futsal is running a Skills Acquisition Program (SAP) at Dickson College on Friday nights from 6 to 7 pm for players U8 to U12 during Term 2.

The cost is $90 for the 10-week program with 5/5/2023 being the second session.

BUFC Blue Devils Academy

For Belnorth players U8 to U12 looking for pathways into NPLBelconnen United FC (BUFC) is running their Blue Devils Academy in Term 2, with grading happening on Monday, May 8th, at Aranda.

The program cost for Term 2 is $250 and is led by B and C licensed coaches. It runs for 10 weeks with 1-hour sessions. Participants receive a shirt, shorts, socks and a ball. It is an ideal preparation for BUFC development squads (BUDS) and is a pathway to BUFC’s Premier League.

Week 1 (8th May) will be used for player assessment and is free of charge – offers of placement in the academy will be communicated after that first week, together with payment information.

Coaches Needed for Juniors & Senior Women

The club is volunteer-run, and coaches and managers are an essential cog in the machine.

If your child’s team needs a coach, don’t be scared to put your hand up to volunteerCo-coaching and assistant coaching are also encouraged, and it is highly desirable to have a manager.

Roles that are vacant and available now.

  • Treasurer (volunteer/committee): Responsible for maintaining the financial accounts, receiving money, and paying invoices. A financial background with knowledge of bookkeeping is desirable. Belnorth’s bookkeeping is managed with Quickbooks.
  • Small Side Games Registrar (volunteer/committee): Manages the registration and running of the U10 and U11 age groups along with general committee member duties (e.g. meetings, decisions)
  • President (volunteer/committee member): Capital Football Liaison (disciplinary), Representative on External Meetings, Public Grant Administration, External Media Liaison.
  • Vice President (volunteer/committee): Responsible for assisting the President.

Every volunteer, whether a coach, manager, CVO, referee or committee member, helps the club tick. If you want to help, please email admin@belnorth.org.
