The Merimbula Grasshoppers Football Club will host the 16th annual Karl Posselt Cup on the weekend of October 3rd & 4th 2026.
At present we have team vacancies in the following age divisions:
U12 Girls x 2; u13 boys x 1; u14 girls x 1.
The tournament will be played at the Berrambool Sports Complex in Merimbula.
This tournament is open to the following age divisions:
Under 12 boys, under 12 girls, under 13 boys 11 v11, under 14 girls.
The u12 boys and u12 girls will play in the FSCFA 9 v 9 format. Competition playing rule for the 9 v 9 are attached.
This year when practical, the KP Cup will be limited to eight teams per age group, playing in a round-robin format. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games over the two days of competition with payoff games being on the Sunday.
Teams are permitted to register 16 players per squad maximum. No dispensations will be allowed for overage players. Boys are not permitted to play in the girl’s competitions, no matter their age.
The Far South Coast Football Referees Association will provide qualified referees to officiate.
The entry fee for the tournament is $300 per team. This will assist in covering the cost of referee payments, match balls, winner’s medals, trophies, and ground fees.
Invoices will be sent out once nominations have been confirmed.
This year we are exploring the use of Dribl for registration and competition purposes, though all players must be registered with Play Football for their 2026 season. We will keep you updated on this.
