Belles Fall in the Quarters

Despite the player’s best efforts and jovial support from the sidelines, the Belnorth Belles suffered a 7 nil defeat to NPL side West Canberra Wanderers in the Quarter Finals of the Federation Cup. The Belles will now focus on their league campaign in Capital League Division 1.

Well done, Belles, on giving it a red-hot go, and thank you to all the supporters in the stands.

Junior Player Of The Match Vouchers

This season, Belnorth FC are fortunate to have three generous sponsors on board to cover our U5 to U18 age groups for Player of the Match (POTM) Awards!

Coaches/Managers will be able to collect the POTM awards on Saturday, from the Central Hub at Kaleen.

A reminder that there is only one voucher per player for the season and are to be distributed ONE PER GAME as a player of the match award. They are NOT to be given out all at once.

Kanga Cup Team Support

To support Belnorth teams who enter themselves into the Kanga Cup, Belnorth offers a 25% rebate of the entry fee. Once entered, teams can apply via the form available here.

Club Shop Open Saturday

When: Saturday 9/5, 9 am to 12 pm
Where: Kaleen Playing Fields
What: selling shorts, socks, shin pads, bottles, beanies, baseball caps, and hoodies. Item sizing available here and stock availability here.

Please note: the Club Shop only accepts EFTPOS payments.

Female Football Week Photo Comp

To celebrate Female Football Week (8th to 17th May) Belnorth FC are holding a Photo Competition.

Take a photo of Belnorth FC female identifying players, coaches, managers and referees at games or training (with their consent of course) to go in the draw to win a Belnorth FC Beanie or Bottle. Two of each item are up for grabs.

Female Football Week 8/5 to 17/5

From Friday 8th of May through to Sunday 17th of May, the Canberra football community will be celebrating Female Football Week.

Events on will be:

Kanga Cup

Belnorth are seeking EOI from Belnorth players to join Kanga Cup teams in the following age groups:

  • U9 Open
  • U10 Girls
  • U10 Open
  • U11 Girls
  • U11 Open
  • U12 Open

When: 13th of July to the 17th of July
Where: various locations across Canberra
What: Tournament against interstate, local and sometimes international teams. There will be a minimum of 5 matches played, with no more than 2 games per day.
Cost: ~$120-140 per player

Working With Vulnerable People

A reminder that all coaches, managers, and volunteers are required to have a Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card. This includes both Junior and Senior team volunteers.

WWVP cards are FREE for volunteers.

  • Senior Winter Referees (Paid): Referee senior 11-a-side games.
  • Operations Manager (volunteer/committee): equipment organisation (distribution, auditing and ordering). Trophy Liaison, Presentation Day Organisation and Event Organisation.
  • Club Changers (volunteer): Assist with implementing Club Changer modules.
  • General Helpers (Volunteers).
  • Coaches & Managers (Volunteers). 

Every volunteer, whether a coach, manager, CVO, referee or committee member, helps the club tick.
