Grading Starts Next Week!

U10 to U18 grading for 2026 will be held from the 3rd of February at either Giralang or Kaleen, with U14 to U18 Girls and U12-U18 Open grading sessions starting next week.

Registration prior to grading is mandatory.

U12 & U13 Open (Session 1): 6:45 PM Tuesday 3rd February at Kaleen

U14, U16 & U18 Girls (Session 1): 5:30 PM Friday 6th February at Giralang

U14, U15, U16 & U18 Open (Session 1): 6:45 PM Friday 6th February at Giralang

Full 10-U18 Grading Dates

  • Players must be registered to grade (no exceptions)
  • Players wishing to grade will be required to attend all session for their age group
  • Players are to check-in 15 minutes prior to the session
  • Players are to wear shin pads
  • Goalkeepers are to attend their age group sessions

Belnorth FC 2026 winter registrations are now open on PlayFootball.

Closing dates for the respective age groups are:

  • Seniors: 22/2/2026
  • U10-U18: 15/3/2026
  • U5-U9: 31/3/2026

If you are having trouble paying for registrations, please consider applying for our payment plans that are now direct debits powered by GoCardless rather than Zip.

We also welcome applications for our Hardship Scholarships.

Play it Safe and Beat the Heat

With the extreme temperatures well and truly here, it is a good reminder to consider if participating in football during the heat is safe. To help guide your decision making, use Sports Medicine Australia’s Sports Heat Tool or Sydney University’s Heat Watch Tool.

Belnorth Womens Trial Dates & Preseason

Belnorth FC Womens Division 1 and 2 have their final trial this Sunday the 1st of February at 5 pm at Giralang 104 (behind the Giralang Primary School).

All new and returning Belnorth players are welcome to trial. Players are asked to complete the EOI form and select keen to trial.

Belnorth Women’s League Grading Process 2026

All Womens Preseason Training (Div 1-6 & Masters)

Weekly preseason training for all Belnorth Women’s teams, divisions 1 to 6 and Masters, will be held on Sundays 5pm at Giralang. All returning and new players are encouraged to complete the EOI form with their division preference.

Special call-out for over 35 women for a new masters team. We’d love to hear from you and see you at preseason training.

U8/U9 & U10/U11 Preseason Skills Programs

Belnorth will run Preseason Skills Programs (PSP) for the U10/U11 age groups in February and for the U8/U9 age groups in April. The program will focus on the four core skills: Striking The Ball, First Touch, 1v1 and Running With The Ball.

The U10/U11 program is near capacity, so submit an EOI ASAP to avoid disappointment. It will begin next Tuesday 3/2/2026 through to the 21/2/2026 over 6 sessions at Giralang or Kaleen. The cost of this program is $80.

The U8/U9 Preseason Program will be held from 11/04/2026 until 20/04/2026 at Kaleen over 4 sessions. The cost of that program is $55.

We are accepting EOI for both programs prior to being sent registration information. EOI are essential!

Senior Player Referee Rebate Trial

In the 2026 winter season, as a trial, senior players over 18 that are qualified and registered referees (in the current year with proof supplied), are eligible for a rebate on their playing registration fee. The rebate will be $170, which is equivalent to the Belnorth club component.

Rebate claims must be made by the 30th of June 2026.

Kanga Cup Dates Set

Kanga Cup tournament dates have been announced, so you can pencil in your diaries the 13th to the 17th of July. Registrations for the tournament will open on 1st of April. Start planning now as places are limited and early registration is vital to secure your team’s spot in the popular event.

Looking for Winter Game Day Staff

With the 2026 Junior Winter Season set to start in May, we are on the look out for 3 to 4 game day staff. They are a paid positions.

Game Day staff help with distributing equipment (goals, flags, etc) for game days and assisting members including providing first aid. First Aid and CPR qualifications are required. Ideally 18 years or over.

Coerver Cup 2026

The Coerver Cup is coming the the ACT in late February.

Tournaments to be held on Saturday 28 February 2026 (Boys U8-U13) & Sunday 1 March 2026 (Girls U8-U13) at the home of Coerver® Coaching ACT, University of Canberra.

The below vital roles are currently vacant.

  • Winter Game Day Staff (paid): Game Day staff help with distributing equipment (goals, flags, etc) for game days and assisting members including the administration of first aid. First Aid and CPR qualifications are required.
  • Operations Manager (volunteer/committee): equipment organisation (distribution, auditing and ordering). Trophy Liaison, Presentation Day Organisation and Event Organisation.
  • Club Changers (volunteer): Assist with implementing Club Changer modules.
  • General Helpers (Volunteers).
  • Coaches & Managers (Volunteers).

Every volunteer, whether a coach, manager, CVO, referee or committee member, helps the club tick.
