Last Call U8/U9 Gala Day
Brindabella’s MiniRoos Gala Day will be a full day tournament for under 8s and under 9s providing players the opportunity to play teams from surrounding areas and continuing their growth and development in the game.
When: Sunday, 11th August 2024
Where: Calwell Playing Fields
Who: FFA registered U8 to U9 Girls and Open players/teams
Cost: $30 per player
Teams will be split into pools with a minimum of 4 games across the day. There will be both Open and Girls Only pools.
Nominate your team by 2nd August to secure your place in the tournament.

Team Photos Now Available
Thank you to the teams that picked up their photos on Saturday. The majority of teams have now picked them up. See the list below of team photos that are still waiting to be picked up. The photos will be available again this Saturday games day from the Central Hub at Kaleen.
We ask that team coaches, managers or representatives pick up photos on the team’s behalf to distribute to those that ordered items. Individual photo orders will not be handed out, they must be collected as a team. Collectors will be asked to sign for photos.

Capital Chemist Volunteer of the Month: Paul Sutton

WWVP Requirement for Volunteers
A reminder that all coaches, managers and volunteers are required to have a Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card. This includes both Junior and Senior team volunteers.

WWVP cards are FREE for volunteers.
Once volunteers have applied or obtained their WWVP credentials, please let us know via the form here.
The ACT Government periodically conducts spot inspections at both training and on game days. It is important that you carry WWVP card or application details with you at all times when undertaking volunteer work as a coach or manager.
Last Coerver Sessions 10/8/2024
The last Coerver Sessions will be conducted on Saturday 10th of August at Kaleen, after games. The sessions will be next to the Tennis Club, North of Field 1, as displayed on the map below.
- U7 Open: 9:40 am to 10:10 am
- U8 Open: 10:30 am to 11 am
- U9 Open: 11:30 am to 12 pm

Foundation of Football Coaching Course – 9th and 16th of August
Interested in improving your skills as a U10-U18 or seniors coach? Then the Foundation of Football Course (FOFC) is for you!
Date: Friday 9th August & Friday 16th August 6 pm to 9:30 pm
Location: Hawker Football Centre, Walhallow St, Hawker ACT
Cost: $100
The course is aimed at volunteer parents and coaches working with advanced beginner to competent level players or players aged up to approximately fifteen (15) years old.
It involves practical sessions covering the basics of techniques as well as learning about the basic playing principles of the game. The course is mostly practical and not graded.

Current Belnorth FC Vacancies
The below vital roles are currently vacant.
- Small Side Games Registrar (volunteer/committee): Manages the registration and running of the U10 and U11 age groups along with general committee member duties (e.g. meetings, decisions)
- Operations Manager (volunteer/committee): organisation of equipment (distribution, auditing and ordering). Trophy Liaison (coordination role with registrars). Presentation day organisation (coordination role with committee). Event Organisation (coordination role)
- Vice President (volunteer/committee): Responsible for assisting the President.
- Technical Director (paid): responsible for developing, implementing and nurturing player and coach development through sound program design and development for Belnorth. In assuming a technical leadership role, the TD provides mentorship to coaches and players in all programs and fosters good sportsmanship in a safe and fun environment. Further details here.
