Wrapping Up 2023, Planning for 2024
Schools out for summer and Christmas is upon us. The committee would like to wish the club’s members a lovely break, whether it is with family, friends or strangers, and safe travels for those hitting the road, sky or even the seas.
Planning for 2024 is underway, and we expect another big year for Belnorth FC in 2024. U10 to U18 grading is pencilled in for a mid-February start and hopefully, an U8 to U11 preseason program preceding it in early February. We also want to run a preseason program for the U5-U7 age group prior to the winter season, possibly in April.
We are still waiting for Capital Football to release registration and referee fees for 2024, leaving us somewhat hamstrung with the opening of registrations for the winter season. We expect it to be resolved so registrations can be open by mid-January.
Buy/Swap/Sell Facebook Group
On the back of the successful boot bin, we have set up a Facebook Group to let Belnorth members, current, past and future, have access to pre-loved Belnorth gear, such as shorts, socks and other merchandise, along with boots.

AGM & Committee going into 2024
Belnorth FC’s AGM was held on Sunday, the 10th of December, at the Clubhouse Kaleen with 12 members in attendance.
The club’s Financial Statements and Audit were presented at the AGM, along with committee reports, which can be found here.
At the AGM, the club gained two new committee members: Nick Walczak as Treasurer and Nicole Carter as Seniors Registrar, with Ruth Parker stepping up to be President. Kat, Jane and Graeme put their hands up to continue in their respective roles after their terms ended.

Henk’s Summer Comp Done & Dusted
Another successful Summer Comp for both Juniors and Seniors has now concluded for another year. We hope everyone enjoyed the competitions.

Sponsor Belnorth in 2024
With the end of the year rapidly approaching, Belnorth is looking for Jersey Sponsors.
In time for 2024 we have introduced an additional jersey design with a stripe. In the 2023 winter season, our U5-U9 teams were bursting at the seams, which required some juggling of jersey colours to avoid clashes. The new striped version has 13 variations to ensure enough variations for all our teams in 2024.
With the buzz still around from the Womens World Cup, we have had bumper numbers for our Summer Comp, so we expect even bigger numbers for the 2024 winter season.

The below vital roles are currently vacant.
- Small Side Games Registrar (volunteer/committee): Manages the registration and running of the U10 and U11 age groups along with general committee member duties (e.g. meetings, decisions)
- Vice President (volunteer/committee): Responsible for assisting the President.
Every volunteer, whether a coach, manager, CVO, referee or committee member, helps the club tick.
